छतरपुर मंदिर दिल्ली ( भारत का एक केंद्रशासित प्रदेश और भारत की राजधानी है ) के छतरपुर क्षेत्र में स्थित एक हिन्दू मंदिर है, जो देवी कात्यायनी को समर्पित है। इस मंदिर का वास्तविक नाम "श्री आद्या कात्यायनी शक्तिपीठ मंदिर" है। इसे देखने के लिए लोग दूर-दूर से यहां आते हैं तथा माता के दर्शन करने का सौभाग्य प्राप्त करते है। यह भारत का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा मन्दिर परिसर है। इस मन्दिर की स्थापना वर्ष १९७४ ( 1974 ) में कर्नाटक के संत बाबा नागपाल जी द्वारा की गई थी। आज जो आप यहाँ यह भव्य मंदिर देख रहे है, एक समय यहाँ एक कुटिया हुआ करती थी। लेकिन आज इस मंदिर का पूरा परिसर 70 एकड़ के क्षेत्र में फैला हुआ है। यह मंदिर नई दिल्ली के दक्षिण-पश्चिमी के बाहरी इलाके में और कुतुब मीनार से सिर्फ 4 किमी (2.5 मील) दूर स्थित है।

Chhatarpur Temple is a Hindu temple located in the Chhatarpur region of Delhi (a union territory of India and the capital of India), dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. The actual name of this temple is "Shri Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Temple". People come here from far and wide to see this and get the good fortune of seeing the mother. It is the second largest temple complex in India. This temple was established in the year 1974 by Saint Baba Nagpal Ji of Karnataka. The grand temple that you are seeing today, once upon a time there used to be a hut here. But today the entire complex of this temple is spread over an area of 70 acres. Chhatarpur Mandir Location - The temple is located on the outskirts of New Delhi south-west and just 4 km (2.5 mi) from Qutub Minar.
छतरपुर मंदिर अपनी निर्माण कला के लिए भी प्रसिद्ध है। यह दक्षिण भारतीय शैली में बना हुआ है। यह मंदिर सफेद संगमरमर से बना हुआ है, जिस पर शिल्प कला और नक्काशी का बेहतरीन कार्य देखा जा सकता है। संगमरमर से बनी जाली देखने में बहुत ही सुन्दर प्रतीत होती है। यहाँ की सजावट भी आकर्षित करने वाली है। इसके परिसर में खूबसूरत लॉन और बगीचे भी है। यहाँ एक बहुत बड़ा दरवाजा भी है जिस पर एक बड़ा सा ताला लगा हुआ है जो आकर्षण का एक केंद्र है। यहाँ दुर्गा पूजा और नवरात्रि के पावन अवसर पर पूरे देशभर से भक्त लोग एकत्रित होते हैं। यहां एक पेड़ ऐसा भी है जिस पर श्रद्धालु धागे और रंग-बिरंगी चूडि़यां बांधते हैं। लोगों का ऐसा मानना है कि ऐसा करने से भक्तो की मनोकामना पूर्ण होती है।
Chhatarpur temple is also famous for its construction art. It is made in South Indian style. This temple is made of white marble, on which the finest work of craftsmanship and carving can be seen. The lattice made of marble looks very beautiful to see. The decoration here is also attractive. It also has beautiful lawns and gardens in its premises. There is also a huge door with a big lock on it which is a center of attraction. Devotees from all over the country gather here on the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja and Navratri. There is also a tree here on which devotees tie threads and colorful bangles. People believe that by doing this the wishes of the devotees are fulfilled.
मुख्य रूप से यह मंदिर देवी आद्या कात्यायनी ( जो मां दुर्गा का छठा स्वरूप ) को समर्पित है। इस मंदिर परिसर में देवी कात्यायनी के मंदिर के अतिरिक्त भगवान शिव, विष्णु, देवी लक्ष्मी, हनुमान जी, भगवान राम, भगवान गणेश आदि देवी देवताओं के लगभग बीस छोटे-बड़े मंदिर मौजूद हैं। इस परिसर में धर्मशाला, स्कूल व छोटा अस्पताल भी मौजूद है और यहाँ आई.आई.टी. का संचालन भी किया जाता है।
Mainly this temple is dedicated to Goddess Aadya Katyayani (the sixth form of Maa Durga). Apart from the temple of Goddess Katyayani in this temple complex, there are about twenty small and big temples of deities like Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, Hanuman ji, Lord Rama, Lord Ganesha etc. Dharamshala, school and small hospital are also present in this campus and here IIT. is also operated.
छतरपुर मंदिर का महत्व ( Importance of Chhatarpur Mandir )-
छतरपुर का मंदिर दुर्गा माँ के छठे स्वरुप देवी आद्या कात्यायनी को समर्पित है। आद्या कात्यायनी से जुडी एक कथा प्रचलित है। इस कथा के अनुसार महर्षि कात्यायन ने माँ भगवती की कठोर तपस्या की थी जिसके फलस्वरूप माँ भगवती ने महर्षि कात्यायन के घर पुत्री रूप में जन्म लिया और वे मां कात्यायनी कहलाई। कथा अनुसार वे घर में आश्विन कृष्ण चतुर्दशी को उत्पन्न हुई और सप्तमी, अष्टमी तथा नवमी, इन तीन दिनों तक देवी ने कात्यायन ऋषि की पूजा स्वीकार की। और फिर दशमी को महिषासुर का वध करके इस पृथ्वी को आतंक से मुक्त किया। इस मंदिर में आकर लोग पुरे भक्ति भाव से माँ की पूजा करते है। वैसे तो छतरपुर मंदिर ( Chhatarpur Mandir ) में सालभर लोगों का जमावड़ा लगा ही रहता है लेकिन नवरात्रि के अवसर पर इस मंदिर में लाखों की संख्या में लोग दूर-दूर से आते हैं। कई भक्त नंगे पांव पैदल ही माता के दर्शनों के लिए छतरपुर मंदिर में आते हैं।

According to this story, Maharishi Katyayan had done severe penance for Mother Bhagwati, as a result of which Mother Bhagwati was born as a daughter in the house of Maharishi Katyayan and she was called Mother Katyayani. According to the story, she was born in the house on Ashwin Krishna Chaturdashi and for these three days on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami, the Goddess accepted the worship of Katyayan Rishi. And then on Dashami by killing Mahishasura, he freed this earth from terror. Coming to this temple, people worship the mother with full devotion. Although there is a gathering of people in Chhatarpur temple throughout the year, but on the occasion of Navratri, lakhs of people come from far and wide to this temple. Many devotees walk barefoot to the Chhatarpur temple to have darshan of the mother.

छतरपुर मंदिर का निर्माण कर्नाटक के संत बाबा नागपाल जी द्वारा 1974 में किया गया था। संत बाबा नागपाल जी की मृत्यु 1998 में हो गई। उनकी समाधि मंदिर परिसर के अंदर शिव गौरी नागेश्वर मंदिर के परिसर में स्थित है। बाबा ने जिस घर में अपने पिछले कुछ दिन बिताए थे, उसे एक संग्रहालय में परिवर्तित कर दिया गया और वहां वे सभी चीजें रखी गई जो उनके द्वारा अपने पुरे जीवनकाल में इस्तेमाल की गई थीं।
